Baby Elvis - in the Army

On March 24, 1958, upon being drafted into the army, Elvis Presley reported to the Memphis Draft Board and was assigned army serial number 53 310 761. During his sstay at Ft. Hood, Elvis' mohter Gladys became gravely ill and Elvis received emergency leave to be with her until her death on August 14, 1958. While in Texas, Elvis earned medals for marksmanship and received his sergeant's stripes and was eventually stationed in Germany. Marie is honored to collaborate with the Elvis Presley Estate to create "Baby Elvis - In the Army" from her "Little Bit Country/Little Bit Rock & Roll" collection.
